New to online card games or just need a refresher? Here is a quick breakdown of the three most popular Filipino card games at n333.
Pusoy — Setting Up Your Three Hands
Each player receives 13 cards from a standard 52-card deck. You arrange them into three hands before the showdown:
- Front (3 cards) — the weakest hand, no straights or flushes
- Middle (5 cards) — must beat the front hand
- Back (5 cards) — must be the strongest hand
At showdown, each of your three hands is compared against the corresponding hand of every other player. Win or lose units per hand. A player who wins all three hands against an opponent scores a special bonus. Misset your hands and all three automatically lose — arrange carefully before the timer runs out at n333.
Tongits — Draw, Meld, Win
Tongits is played by three players. The dealer distributes 12 cards each and 1 center card starts the discard pile. On your turn:
- Draw — take from the draw pile or take a discard to complete a meld
- Meld — lay down sets (three or four of a kind) or runs (three+ sequential same suit)
- Discard — end your turn by discarding one card
Win by calling Tongits when your hand is empty, or call Fight at any point to compare remaining hand point values with opponents. Lowest remaining value wins the fight. Dumped cards and burned cards follow standard n333 Tongits rules displayed in the game itself.
Blackjack — Beat 21 Without Busting
You and the dealer each receive two cards. Face cards count as 10, Aces as 1 or 11. Your goal: get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over.
- Hit — take another card
- Stand — keep your current total
- Double Down — double your bet, receive exactly one more card
- Split — if you have a pair, split into two separate hands
- Insurance — side bet when the dealer shows an Ace
Blackjack (Ace + 10-value card) pays 3:2 at n333 live tables. The dealer must stand on soft 17. Understanding basic Blackjack strategy significantly reduces the house edge — the n333 live tables use 6-deck shoes which are standard for online live dealer environments.
